The battery: The heartbeat of your car

Nowaday's people hardly give their car battery a second thought until something happens like your vehicle not starting. To prevent this you should have your battery checked at your dealership to prevent any problems that may strand you on the side of the road.

Your battery supplies the initial jolt that gets your vehicle going, and keeps the voltage stable while the engine is running. When your battery starts to go bad it could cause damage to other electrical components.

Most batteries should last at least 3 years, and like many other products, your battery has a date code to tell you how old it is. If you are unsure the service department at your dealership can tell you the age.

Remember to always take your vehicle to the dealership for routine service, which includes battery checks. This will save you costly repairs and catch bad batteries before it becomes a problem.
